How to read Pay Statements:

Issues regarding missing pay:
Are you active?
- Speak with your Supervisor/Manager
- Payroll/HR does not edit timecards or enter missing hours for employees
Are you terminated?
- Speak with your Supervisor/Manager
You don’t have to be active to get direct deposit. As long as your banking info is current in PeopleSoft, Payroll can always direct deposit. Find out how to update your details here
Record of Employment (ROE):
- You can request your ROE through Direct Connect at My.VailResorts.com. Go to "Learn More & Get Help" and then click on "Get Help". You can request your ROE here.
- An ROE is a required document when applying for Employee Insurance (EI)
ROE documents are submitted by Payroll upon termination of employment and accessed through the Service Canada website. Employees must retrieve ROEs by creating their own account on the Service Canada self-serve

If previous employee is unable to locate ROE?
- Is the person terminated or still active? Check their status in PeopleSoft
- When were they terminated? Maybe Payroll just haven’t done it yet if they were terminated in the last few day
T4’s:
Where is my T4?
- What year are they looking for?
Anything before 2017: Please create a case on My.VailResorts.com. Go to "Learn More & Get Help" and then click on "Get Help". You can request your T4 here.
- Do they know Canadian T4s are based on calendar year? (different countries have different tax years)
- Canadian T4s are government issued based on calendar year earnings. The WB T4 year ends based on the last payday of the year (around last week of December). T4s are available in February. No ifs, ands or buts
Vacation Payout:
Where is my vacation payout? I want my vacation payout!
- Vacation accrual is ONLY paid out upon termination or by taking vacation time from work
- Either get terminated or have your timekeeper enter vacation hours onto your timecard if you’re not working full hours
MANUAL PAY CHEQUE PICK UP:
Employees that have not set up their direct deposit will have manual cheques that are printed at the Springs. Payroll send a list of employees to us and we have to email all recipients to let them know. We also encourage these employees to update their banking information as it is a condition of their employment. The exception is off cycle cheques that are printed for employees with missing hours/pay or vacation payout cheques that are printed after an employee is separated in the system.
Cheques are kept at the Springs for two weeks and then we mail them to the address in the system. If employees have the Admin building as their address, they must update us with their correct mailing address.

Verifications of Employment (VOE) Letters:
- VOE letters are produced on request by HR for reasons such as applying for Permanent Residency, BC Health, Student loan companies, mortgages, etc.
- Requests must be submitted as a case on My.VailResorts.com. Go to "Learn More & Get Help" and then click on "Get Help". Once in there, you will need to select the ‘ask a question function’ then ‘step 2 – complete this form’
- Please allow 7-10 business days to be processed
- VOE letters contain basic info including start date, positions held, status (Part time/Full Time/ Year round/Seasonal) and wage
